The Creek is of course Purgatory Creek which runs through my property. It is never this colour, more a dirty grey-brown from run-off from other properties up stream. I was playing with the sliders in Photoshop and liked the creek better with the vibrancy way up but not over-the-top so as to look un-natural.

My dog – an Australian Red Kelpie. Funnily enough she has a love/hate relationship with water, most Kelpies love it, this is the deepest she has been. This morning was the also longest I have ever seen her in the creek and to capture the tongue lapping was an absolute bonus

Agapanthus are one of the most rewarding flowers to photograph (now I’ve possibly started something 🙂 ), they look fantastic in bud, flowering, in the rain and even when they’ve lost their flowers and just the skeleton of the flower head remains. Plus, they are a fantastic colour!
