Minnie Waters’ Back Beach headland has many spot where shells pile up in the corners of the rocks/cliff face. Very many are broken through the pounding of the surf across the rocks. The geology here is fascinating with vertical upthrusts of rock with seams of a totally different rock embedded in it. This area was dug for gold in the 1900’s, hence the name of the next small gathering of houses – Diggers Camp.
