Way back in April I abruptly ceased posting about my Japanese photo trip because I was in the midst of another trip which I wished to post right then and there. Well I’m all caught up on that and back home again. So I’ll leave the first trip to Tokyo through blizzards to Kyoto and return as finished and start anew with the second trip which went to the island of Hokkaido.
Our wet June has all sorts of surprises popping out of the earth. This Toadstool is much thicker through the cap than many I get on the property and I’ve seen other toadstools this month that in a normal year I would never see at all. Weird weather!
I’ve been home from Fiji a month now and during that time discovered not one but two different native terrestrial orchids growing on my property. I’ve seen orchids here before but never these two in all of 14 years. Strange how things happen but then again our seasons are changing and where we once had very dry winters this June has been wet, wet, wet!
