Oh My, this last month has just flown!
A heap of little bitty things got done – stuff that’s not really important but all the same takes up space in your brain and thinking. Like placing two hooks outside so I can run a rope to hang large sheets from that won’t fit on my normal clothes line unless folded. No I don’t have a clothes dryer which is why this was important to me. And hanging assorted gifts and collected things up high where I can see and enjoy them, instead of being rolled up or away in drawers. Things like this – such a relief to now have space to open to other things.
I finally bought a larger second monitor to view my photos on, long overdue and incredible to see them so much more detail.
Flair, The Little House (my caravan) and I went off exploring for 10 days in the area around Bundaberg about 4 hours north of where I now live. We stayed two nights at each of 5 caravan parks – well that was the plan but on our travels I discovered that the last one doesn’t allow dogs 😦 and so decided to stay longer at the fourth one. Since I don’t know Queensland (my new State) well, trips like this allow me to get a feel for the area around a caravan park and what it has to offer for walking Flair and photographically. One of the places I wouldn’t return to, Monduran Dam had no places to walk.
I seem to get bored by being at home too long (like a couple of weeks) and The Little House is an easy way to just get up and go somewhere else for a short time.
On arriving home I discovered I could be up for CGT (Capital Gains Tax) from the sale of my property this last financial year. The trouble is the Lands Dept. have given the Tax Dept. the wrong amounts for the sale and now it is up to me and my TAX agent to prove them wrong! Just a hiccup I didn’t need. Luckily I seem to have kept enough relevant documents – BUT who keeps receipts going back 15 years!!!!
My new internet and mobile plan (a few headaches getting that sorted too), is saving me so much every month and giving me much more in downloads. So I took advantage of a Cyber Monday deal with Creative Live (worth a look if you don’t know of it) and bought a Creative Year Pass to be able to stream nearly all their 1500 classes anytime in that year. I worked out that if I only watch 2 classes a week I’ll gain so much from it and probably see all the classes that interest me.
And so we move into December and the final month of 2018. I’m having another trip in The Little House before the roads are full of holiday makers heading to the coast for their annual holidays. I’ll take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy festive season, good health and safe travels where ever you might be in the world. I’ll be back with another First Friday in the New Year of 2019.
