I took lots of clear still reflections on this morning at the dam. The two I liked best were when little underwater things ( for want of a better technical term) made these overlapping ripples, totally destroying the stillness but creating a much more interesting image.
And my little quilt for A Quilters’ Project 52 is based on the “Staircase to the Moon” which I saw years ago in Broome, Western Australia. It is the reflection of the moon as it sets over the water creating a wonderful golden path.

Taken from the world famous Three Sister’s lookout in the Blue Mts. National Park. I was hoping for a wonderful sunrise behind the Three Sisters (three monoliths of eroded sandstone rising hundreds of feet from the valley floor next to and still attached to the cliff face). Looking the other way when the sunrise didn’t come to the party, was this amazing moon setting.
