There are some big fires burning in the foothills near my property and another big one a long way to the north but with no wind the smoke is hanging low and giving the sunsets a very firey look. As this is the end of winter in Australia it is a dangerous time for fires with all the dry grass from the frosts and no rain.
All these shots were made driving between Lautoka and Nadi late evening. The road follows (roughly) the west coast and over looks the Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups of Islands. The tourist hot spots for islands.
Local bus coming over the hill and highlighted by the sunset.
Yasawa Islands and sunset.
The sun is now behind the horizon, yet still works it’s magic upon the sky.
