Further along the Coopernook Forest Drive we came to Flat Rock Lookout. The only problem was the clouds had come down on the mountain and there was no view. This was just before the rain started, and did it ever rain!!!! 4X4 the whole way back to the bitumen road and not another car to be seen.
This is our view toward the east from the King Island Wilderness Retreat where we are staying on King Island. It is an extra-ordinary island with so much diversity for such a small place 60km long and 30km wide, with 196km of coast line. Rugged cliffs and sandy beaches and many species of plants, some not found not anywhere else.
