I seem to have a preference for the ‘Difference’ blending mode in Photoshop at present, hence Blue Wattle and last Mondays’ Blue Banksia. I’m also trying to pre-visualise what combinations of images will look like before I spend the time in Photoshop. Not always successful at this but the more I try the easier it should become.

Wattle Day was celebrated last Sunday 4th August. It is rumoured that there is a wattle in flower every month of the year in Australia. Many flower in August which brings a brightness to the bush in the coldest month of our year, hence Wattle Day this month. Our highways are planted with them as they are fast growers for holding disturbed soil together but many people have an allergy to the pollen and suffer greatly as it has a strong smell/perfume depending on whether you suffer or not. I was away travelling and forgot to post this on the proper day, but better late than never! 🙂
