Following on from Mondays post where we crossed the creek at low tide – when we came back to recross Wild Cattle Creek the tide had started to come in and what had been ankle deep was now 1 metre deep. I got wet but Flair had to swim – I’ve never seen her swim before as she doesn’t like going in the water past her elbows. I only caught the tail end of her swim as I was trying to get across as fast as I could myself.
While the tide was out we crossed on the sandflats of Wild Cattle Creek to the other side and the long wild beach to the south of Tannum Sands.
Just a heads up that I’ll be transferring this Blog to a new site by the end of April. Beyond Purgatory is no longer relevant as a title for my Blog as I no longer live on Purgatory Creek. I will give plenty of notice as to the new site because I enjoy your company and would hate to loose anyone in the transfer.
Further up the east coast of Queensland is Gladstone and out on the coast is Tannum Sands a beautiful holiday place with all those expected things in Australia – long sandy beaches, creeks and mudflats, good coffee shops and midges! I notice the midges as they really affect me with itchy bites that last a week at least.
