Japan, Mt Fuji - Five Lakes area, photography, snow, travel

We packed so much into this short week long trip that I’m going to post multiple images each post otherwise it will be Xmas before I show you what I saw in Japan.

Day 3 arrived in a beautiful flurry of snow. From the hotel we looked down upon these farms and houses but no Mt Fuji was to be seen.

From the hotel again, no-one braved the snow to have breakfast on the terrace.

As evening fell, the cloud blew away from the top of Mt Fuji momentarily. This was taken from our hotel.

As the lights came on the cloud settled down over the crater again.

Driving along the freeway towards The Five Lakes district where Mt Fuji is situated. We had hoped to see the Mt Fuji diamond where the sun sets over the crater of the mountain but after several glimpses on our drive (see below) the clouds came in and that was that!

Seems like someone was trying to see how many signs they could put on this post down near the Tsukiji Fish Markets.
