I make a product once a month from the themes from that months A Quilters’ Project 52 – this month (May) the themes each Friday were Reflections; Flower/s; Square; Looking Down and Morning. I chose “Flower/s from 10 May, for my Product and have made a Tea Cosy for a teapot with lots of Yo Yo flowers bunched together on the top.

Early morning down by the river with the river smoke rising into the cold air. We have finally got cold mornings but the days are still warm and beautiful.
This quilt for A Quilters’ Project 52 was fun to make even though the clipping of the fringing took longer than sewing the whole quilt. The strips came from my colour sorted plastic bags of pre-cut 1 1/2″ strips. Lots of raw edges and texture to this quilt to give the pre-dawn glow an extra oomph!

A modern building with creative use of the corner position and of course city reflections in all that glass. I seem to have a thing about reflections in cities, the patterns and shapes made on the windows often looks nothing like what is being reflected. There will be a few more posts on Brisbane reflections coming up, maybe it shows I’m from the bush and don’t get to the city very often.

The view out my hotel window in Brisbane. The Palace Hotel opposite has 3 stories of verandahs with wonderful white iron lace around each one, I have a photo with all the verandahs, but it was the contrast between this older style building and the modern buildings across the way that caught my eye.
